Therapist Job Description

White River Academy in Delta, is hiring a part-time licensed therapist who is responsible for providing diagnostic assessments, therapy, counseling, and support services for a caseload including adolescents and families experiencing mental health issues, communication challenges, or family conflict. The therapist needs to be familiar with group therapy and facilitating a diverse area of topics, as this position will primarily be a group therapist position.

ABOUT WHITE RIVER ACADEMY 

 

White River Academy is a leading therapeutic boarding school for adolescent boys ages 12 to

18. Our highly experienced team of therapists and staff members partner with families to help their sons heal through a wide range of trauma, compulsions or addictions.

Though your Therapist role is extremely satisfying, it also has its challenges. You have to adhere to industry protocols and assure you maintain discipline among students. Your empathy comes through in your interactions with each student, family and staff member you interact with. You also maintain proper professional boundaries at all times. You must display exemplary behavior and follow employee guidelines as all of our team members are a direct beacon of the culture we have here at White River Academy. 

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • A Master degree in Social Work or Psychology along with independent licenses such as an LMFT, LCMHC or LCSW are required for this position.

  • 21+ years of age

  • Pass a background check

  • Pass drug screening

You will need to complete yearly training and be knowledgeable in ALL company trainings, including but not limited to:

  • Obtaining and providing proof of a current CPR and First Aid certification on a yearly basis.

  • Reading and signing the Code of Conduct annually.

  • Passing a yearly Criminal Background Check (BCI).

  • Reading and signing Employee Acknowledgement Form.

  • Maintaining a current driver’s license.

  • Attending meetings when necessary.
